Praise Report

This morning when I put on my clothes I noticed that my dress fit a little differently....I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is hanging differently and not as fitted in certain areas.  I got on the schedule to see if the number changed but it didn't.  That's okay, I'm still encouraged by the fit of my clothes and the fact that I loss inches.  I'm excited about the baby steps and the small changes occurring.

Stay encouraged as we progress on this journey.  Remember it is not a sprint but a true test of endurance.  Let's all press on together!

Jehava told me something today that I wanted to share with you. " God says that our bodies are a temple and that we should take care of them and glorify Him with them. Many times people want to use these scriptures for reason to not get tattoos and other stuff, this applies to being overweight and not exercising and feeding our bodies also. God calls us to use self control and also calls gluttony a sin (overeating) and that we should be looking to glorify Him with this area of our lives just like any other sin!
I wanted to share this with you, Jehava has me hooked on this POPCORN! This is Angies Kettle Corn they sell it at Costco and you can have 2 cups of this for 140 Calories it is the best popcorn ever

We wanted to first THANK YOU for joining this journey with us. Today Marks a big day as we all start a Journey for 54 days. I pray that this journey will not only help health wise but that it also helps you mentally and spiritually. You might think what caused us to do this, and what the purpose of this challenge is. Two weeks ago I started my road towards losing weight it was something that I feared yes fear because I did not want to fail at it. My husband and I have been down this road many times but this time was different I felt as though God was telling me it was time  I knew with all my heart that I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I spoke to my husband and he said “Well honey we can do it” and that is when I committed to God and my husband that I will take the first step toward living healthier.  I told the Lord; how could I use what you are showing me to help people and he put this on my heart. The one thing the Lord gave me was someone to keep me accountable someone who would pray with me and for me, someone who was on the journey with me, it made it much more easier for me to be on the journey knowing  that I had someone beside me to do it with me. Our vision is just that, accountability, love, prayer, and action. This person had to act and show me she was there like going to the gym with me and loving me in the processes and telling me I could do it as with my husband as well pushing me and keeping me accountable.  This group is design to help us grow with one another and in return it will teach us how to hold each other up and how to depend on God fully. The Lord calls us to be good stewards of what he has given to us and we challenge you to take this challenge and never turn back. We would like to meet twice before the end of the challenge maybe at City Island to walk or run. I challenge you to reach out to your team mates and pray with them and spend time with them you can even bring your family out and do these things but that you would reach out to someone you would normally not reach out to and really build friendships.  I know that is God desire is for his people to fellowship and build healthy relationships and I know this will do that. Fontaine and I are excited to really kick this thing off and end it with a bang. This blog was created that we can share our Journey and we can share our failures through the journey so we know how to pray for each other, we know that all of us will not meet our goal all the time but we are trying and we have each other.  Please feel free to leave receipts or anything that is working for you all and please also feel free to leave testimonies on what this challenge is doing for you.  I really pray that you (stretch) yourself in the challenge and know that you are not ALONE we are a team moving towards VICTORY. Please feel free to put on the blog the weight you are losing we are not going to have you weigh in and give us your weight often that will be done in the end of the challenge but you definitely can share that as a testimony on the blog but we will be doing two winner a single person and a couple since some of you are doing it as a single but in the end everyone will be a winner if you try! Love Always the Dixon’s
